Over the years, our partnership with Aardvark has witnessed a huge transformation in the IT industry, revolutionising how businesses operate.
With an exponential surge in data production, the crucial task of securely storing and protecting information has become an integral part of the business. Aardvark faces the challenge of data accessibility and safeguarding it across their three companies. Moreover, the ability to access data from anywhere in the world is a necessity in the industry.
Aardvark manages multiple projects simultaneously and due to the industry, they work in multi-disciplinary project teams, therefore, collaboration plays an important role.
Environmental planning and consultancy
Aardvark EM Ltd offers environmental planning, advice, and project guidance to businesses that are going through the EIA or non-EIA planning process.
Additionally, they provide a consultancy service in the energy, environmental, and waste sectors. As the company continued to grow, so did the need for a new way of managing their data through an effective IT system which is where we came in.
We first began working for them in 2007 and have seen them go strength to strength. Aardvark now have over 20 staff and an additional two companies. Based in Wiveliscombe in a beautiful rural setting, they started in one small office and have gone onto have three large offices.
Secure cloud services and managed support
To address these challenges, we recommended cloud solutions as an effective way to ensure their data remained safe and secure.
Previously, Aardvark had run a significant number of onsite servers and security to store, manage, and secure their data. However, these solutions had become outdated and needed to be replaced. A shift to cloud services was, therefore, essential.
We advise on the best ways to utilise cloud services dependant on each individual business. Cloud services can help save money but can also improve productivity. In this case, to ensure that the transition to the cloud was carried out seamlessly, we provided onsite managed support. In doing this we can provide a fast and effective service, looking after the IT system and any associated equipment, essentially working as an in-house IT department would.
As they expanded from the original office into three larger offices, there was a need for networking and broadband services. We designed, supplied and fitted a wireless network that is both secure and offered complete coverage of all areas of the offices.
